Having found a gap in the market for unapologetically artisanal luxury, Orris desired to make something new. Something natural, something artisanal, something classic, and, most importantly, something honest. We sought to convey this urge for authenticity through championing the act of making; a process emphasised in virtue of Orris’ boutique, botanical soap production, as well as their earnest pursuit of craft.
Towing the line between pomp and gentility, our bespoke display type conveys this sense of elegance through its expressive flourishing letterforms, whilst also carrying a categorical, characterful, clunk. These leadened features not only signify the purposeful remnants of human artistry, but in doing so also further the influence of tactility on Orris’ identity.
